The fifth

“Hello?”
“Hi Fred how you doing?”
“I’m good yourself?”
“Good, good, you doing much?”

That was to be the start of a fun night, I hadn’t expected her to give me a call, especially at this time of night, it was 11pm and I was just getting ready to hit the sack.  But upon getting her call, butterflies were inside my stomach and a thousand thoughts raced through my mind.

I called my good friend VK, and let him know of what had just transpired.  He told me to just be myself and enjoy her company.  Sounds like a good plan I thought, what have I got to lose?? 

I met her in the city at the front of my work, she had driven from up north and was prepared to chauffeur me around and just enjoy the night.  There wasn’t much to do seeing as this was Canberra and everything closes early.  I suggested that we head back to my place and just watch a movie.   I always find that the movies you choose to watch reflect on your taste and personality.  So I wonder what was her reaction when I picked Boogie Nights and if she could handle something that was not quite the norm.

We made it back to my apartment and it was freezing ( it’s Canberra of course), I grabbed my blankets and just shared it with her.  The movie went for 2 hours and a bit and it was a good choice on my behalf, especially the ending with Dirk Digglers package.

The time was now 3am and I concluded that there was no way, I would let her go home at this time of night seeing as she lived 30 mins away.  I told her to crash at my house and that my bed had room for her as well ( there’s nothing wrong with sharing a bed with the opposite sex you know and it was a queen size bed). 

Before we both fell asleep, she promised that we would have breakfast at McDonalds or something, I smiled at the notion and just nodded off to sleep.  If there’s one thing you need to know about me, it’s that I absolutely love my sleep.  I love it and get it whenever I can, anytime, day and place.

In what I would have to say was one of the nicest things to wake up to, was finding her arms across my chest and her leg across my legs. 

“Good morning, do you realise where your arms and legs are?”

“Yes *cute smile*”

She then moved her face closer to mine and just kissed me.  The kiss was nice and soft, and her smell was intoxicating.  I could just remember seeing the sun shining through my window and feeling the warmth of her body. 

It’s funny how sometimes things you never expected to happen , and when they do, it can be one of the most beautiful moments to witness.
