Once Chance

It’s amazing sometimes of how things can go quite sour in your life, you constantly look around and all that you can see is shit.  You think you have it hard and no matter what you do, you think that you’re never going to get out of this vicious cycle.  But then one day something comes along and if you can catch it and seize the opportunity, you’ll know that things will go just fine.

I am sure this clip is spreading like wildfire at the moment.  It features a phone salesman who had one passion and that is to sing Opera.  Paul Potts did have his fair share of bad luck from losing his job, suffering from a burst appendix and lots more.  However when a chance on Simon Cowell’s show “Britain’s Got Talent” came, he faced his fears and out came a beautiful moment.

Watching the entire clip, it’s quite amusing how you see the judge’s and audience’s reaction when he says he’s going to sing Opera.  Then when he sings it, it’s like GOD DAMN WTF!?!?!  Well done to him and I do hope that he will make it to the grand prize and to perform in front of the Queen.

Truly impressive and inspiring. It’s like what Simon Cowell said at the end, it’s the best when a seemingly ordinary man working an ordinary job has a hidden talent like that.

Great voice and an inspiring little story..I especially liked the look on Simon Cowells face when he started singing, it was almost like his draw dropped.

Unfortunately for the plucky little bloke he looks like he fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down and in this superficial little world of ours he’s going to have his 15 minutes of fame and then fade into obscurity…and then if he’s lucky he’ll make an appearance on ‘Where are they now’ in 10 years time!

Mooiness: I agree with that watching Simon’s face go from hmmm to a smile was priceless.

Hyoga: Ahaha, I’m sure you did as so did a lot of people

Blog Dog: We’ll have a look at his progress for now and let him enjoy his success. It’s a nice change from all the years of suffering he’s endured.
