Choices

Imagine going to a ice creamery and you’re given only once choice, and that one choice is like the picture below:

It’s how I consider my life at the moment and it’s ok and not that bad, I mean after all it is chocolate here.  From the picture you would gather that it’s sweet, and you would be satisfied with it no? Imagine however, constantly drinking that same beverage and putting up with it without any complaints. Not to mention how tempting it would be to also want to try other combinations or other flavours and by that time you’ve already got it fixated in your head, that no matter what, the current drink that you have is just going to be disgusting.

An example of one is of my current job right now, and yes it has kept me going in life and paid my bills.  However now it’s come to a point where I would just like to move on and possibly open up more pathways into my life.  Some of the greatest co-workers that I work with are now gone and have found their own career paths that will lead to a more fulfilling role.  While some have stayed and are just making life difficult for others, not that it bothers me but it definitely brings the morale down in the work enviroment.

To ensure that my happiness outside of work is not affected, I’ve started getting some help in looking for a new job and so far it feels great.  It’s like getting a new breath of fresh air and I now look eager to the challenge and the change of scenery, that’s taking into account should I get a new job.  Things are no longer looking like that Ice Chocolate above where it was just one single choice but rather more like this:

 Hmmmmm decisions decisions….

I think too much choices confuses me and as a result gets me in deep trouble :( But for you my love, congratulations! You made a choice to change and got a new job. And as you embark on the next phase of your life, I am here right behind supporting you every bit =)
